Brownie Base

Toppings

  • 6 graham crackers (cut or broken into bite-size pieces)
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 12 snack-size Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars (broken into squares)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Brownie Batter: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water according to the instructions on the box for cakey brownies. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  2. Bake Brownies: Pour the batter evenly into a greased 13×9-inch baking pan. Bake the brownies at 350°F for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs but is not wet.
  3. Add S’mores Toppings: Remove the brownies from the oven while still slightly under-baked. Evenly sprinkle the graham cracker pieces and miniature marshmallows over the top, then scatter the broken Hershey’s chocolate squares on top of the marshmallows and graham crackers.
  4. Melt Toppings: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes at 350°F, or until the marshmallows have puffed up and the chocolate squares are melted.
  5. Cut the Brownies: For warm cutting, spray a knife with cooking spray and carefully cut the brownies into 5×4 rows (20 squares), spraying the knife in between cuts to prevent sticking. Alternatively, allow brownies to cool completely before cutting.
  6. Store: Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap or foil and store brownies at room temperature for up to 3 days. Note that the graham crackers will soften over time in storage.
