Delicious and easy-to-make no-bake Oreo Balls coated in melted chocolate, perfect for parties, snacks, or a sweet treat anytime. These Oreo Balls combine crushed cookies with cream cheese and are dipped in your choice of semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate for a rich and creamy experience.

Ingredients

Scale

Oreo Mixture

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened (226 grams)

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate works well) (452 grams)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prevent the Oreo balls from sticking later on.
  2. Crush Oreos: Add the Oreo cookies to a blender or food processor and pulse until you get fine crumbs. Scoop the crumbs into a large mixing bowl, reserving 1 to 2 tablespoons for topping, if desired.
  3. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. Using a handheld mixer, blend the mixture thoroughly until it is fully combined and smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed to incorporate all crumbs and cream cheese.
  4. Form Balls and Freeze: Measure out about one-tablespoon sized portions of the mixture, rolling each into a smooth ball. Place each ball on the prepared baking sheet. Once all balls are formed, put the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 20 minutes to firm them up.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring thoroughly between intervals until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  6. Dip Oreo Balls in Chocolate: Using a fork or dipping tool, coat each Oreo ball fully in the melted chocolate and place back on the baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with the reserved Oreo crumbs for extra texture and decoration, if desired.
  7. Chill to Harden: Return the coated Oreo balls to the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or until the chocolate coating has set completely. Serve chilled and enjoy your homemade Oreo Balls!

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • You can use any type of chocolate you prefer for coating, including semi-sweet, milk, or white chocolate.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, place Oreo cookies in a sealed bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  • Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a festive touch, consider drizzling with contrasting chocolate or adding sprinkles before the coating sets.
