Sliders
- 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Dinner Rolls (12-count)
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked ham
- ½ pound deli sliced smoked roasted turkey
- ½ pound Gruyère cheese (hand grated)
Sauce
- 1 stick salted butter (melted)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Finishing
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Raspberry preserves, for serving
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil, leaving enough overhang on the sides to lift out the sliders after baking. Lightly coat the lined dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble the Sliders: Keeping the rolls connected, slice them horizontally into two layers without separating individual rolls. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Layer evenly with smoked ham, roasted turkey, and grated Gruyère cheese.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise until smooth and well combined. Pour half of this sauce over the layered meats and cheese in the baking dish.
- Bake the Sliders: Place the top half of the rolls over the layered ingredients, pressing down lightly to compress. Pour the remaining sauce evenly over the tops of the rolls, brushing to distribute it evenly. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. If the tops brown too quickly, loosely tent the dish with foil to prevent burning.
- Finish & Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Using the parchment paper overhang, carefully lift the entire slab of sliders onto a cutting board. Cut into individual sliders with a sharp knife. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm with raspberry preserves on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Keeping the rolls connected while slicing helps hold the sliders together during baking and serving.
- Use parchment paper or foil with overhang to easily lift the entire slab out of the baking dish.
- If the tops brown too quickly, covering loosely with foil will prevent burning.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
- Raspberry preserves add a delicious sweet contrast to the savory sliders.
