This rich and creamy Hot Chocolate Fudge blends semi-sweet and milk chocolate with sweetened condensed milk and hot chocolate mix for a deliciously indulgent treat. Topped with mini marshmallows, it’s perfect for chocolate lovers looking for an easy no-bake dessert to enjoy chilled.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 hot chocolate packets (or 6 tablespoons hot chocolate mix)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Topping

  • 3 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line an 8×8 inch pan or casserole dish with parchment paper or foil. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the fudge from sticking.
  2. Melt Ingredients: Place milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and butter in a double boiler. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and hot chocolate powder. Alternatively, place in a microwave-safe bowl if not using double boiler.
  3. Heat Mixture: Warm over medium heat on double boiler, stirring constantly to prevent burning until completely melted. If microwaving, heat for 45 seconds, stir, then continue in 15-second intervals stirring in between until melted.
  4. Add Flavorings and Marshmallows: Stir in vanilla extract. Gently fold in 2 cups of mini marshmallows into the fudge mixture.
  5. Transfer to Pan and Add Topping: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared dish. Pour remaining 1 cup mini marshmallows on top and gently press to adhere to the surface.
  6. Chill: Cover the pan and refrigerate the fudge for at least 4 hours to set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Using a double boiler prevents chocolate from burning and ensures smooth melting.
  • If substituting hot chocolate mix, measure carefully to maintain sweetness balance.
  • Can be stored in refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container.
  • For firmer fudge, chill overnight before serving.
  • Mini marshmallow topping adds both texture and a decorative touch.
