Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Optionally, fold in a few diced fresh strawberries into the mixture for added texture and flavor or simply place a small dollop of strawberry jam in the center of each wonton later.
  2. Fill the Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling into the center. If not mixed in, add a tiny dollop of strawberry jam on top of the filling for a sweet burst.
  3. Seal the Wontons: Moisten the edges of the wrapper lightly with water. Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle or envelope shape, pressing firmly to seal and remove any air trapped inside to prevent bursting during frying.
  4. Repeat Filling and Sealing: Continue filling and sealing the remaining wonton wrappers until all the filling is used.
