Ingredients

Scale

Tea Bomb Mixture

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger or 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp dried chamomile or dried peppermint tea or your favorite calming herbal blend
  • Optional: pinch of black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption

Equipment

  • Silicone mold or ice cube tray
  • Small saucepan

Instructions

  1. Warm the Honey: In a small saucepan, gently warm the honey over low heat until it becomes liquid and easy to stir. Remove from heat promptly to avoid overheating.
  2. Mix Spices and Lemon: Stir in the fresh lemon juice, ground ginger, ground turmeric, and ground cinnamon into the warm honey until fully combined, creating a fragrant and flavorful honey mixture.
  3. Prepare Tea Molds: Sprinkle a pinch of your chosen dried chamomile or peppermint tea evenly into each cavity of the silicone mold or ice cube tray. If desired, add a pinch of black pepper for better turmeric absorption.
  4. Fill Molds: Carefully pour the spiced honey mixture over the herbs in each mold cavity, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Cool to Set: Allow the tea bombs to cool at room temperature until solid, or refrigerate to speed up the solidification process.
  6. Remove Tea Bombs: Once hardened, gently pop the tea bombs out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
  7. Serve: To enjoy, drop a tea bomb into a mug and pour hot water over it. Stir well until the bomb fully dissolves, releasing soothing flavors for a comforting drink.

Notes

  • Use any calming herbal tea blend of your choice to customize flavor.
  • A pinch of black pepper enhances the absorption of turmeric’s active compounds.
  • Store tea bombs in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
  • Adjust spices to taste, especially if using fresh versus ground ginger.
  • Not recommended for children under 1 year due to honey content.
